Californian Sage Green with Red Connolly leather, 1 of just 165 Series III examples produced, This particular UK RHD DB4 Chassis #755 was first registered on the 28th August 1961 and issued the registration number ‘900 AWE’ to Mr Ian Moss, a well-known Aston Martin aficionado, who worked on the factory race cars in the 1950’s and was the legendary racing driver Jim Clarks personal mechanic when he raced the DB4 GT Zagato in the 1960’s and who went on latterly went on to set up a specialist garage servicing and repairing the marque, Mr Moss converted the Aston for competition use and successfully campaigned 900 AWE for over 20 years at UK circuits such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, Donnington, Mallory Park, Curborough and Oulton Park. In May 2006 the DB4 was purchased by its 2nd registered custodian, himself twice winner of the Aston Martin Racing Series, In March 2012 a nut & bolt restoration was completed to fast road specification by marque specialists Davron of Salisbury utilising a more powerful 4.2 litre engine and subsequently sold via the Aston Martin Works Service Sale to its 3rd custodian who tasked renowned Aston Martin specialist Mitchell Motors of Salisbury to carry out a nut & bolt restoration to factory specification which was completed in 2023 costing in excess of £296,000, 900 AWE is complete with a provenance file including an Original Aston Martin DB4 & DB4 GT Instruction book, Period photos of 900 AWE back in the 80’s/90’s, Restoration invoices from both Davron and Mitchell Motors, This stunning DB4 has covered just 2,000 careful running in miles since restoration.
